MSNBC’s Brzezinski, CNN’s Bash praise Trump’s coronavirus response

While the liberal media as a whole has been critical of President Trump’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, there have been a couple of notable exceptions in the last few days and both MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski praised the president’s recent actions.

Brzezinksi, who has been a vocal critic of Trump along with her Morning Joe co-host and husband Joe Scarborough commented positively about the president’s Monday coronavirus press briefing.

“What you saw yesterday was the president getting better when it came to matching his tone and his own kind of gut response to questions that he was getting, to the reality of the situation,” Brzezinski said.

“Whether or not you have a jaundiced eye, you noticed that, and you sat up and took note,” she continued. “I mean, the president of the United States made it easier to parent teens yesterday. Because if you don’t have groups of ten or more, and the president is saying you can’t do that, it is much easier to communicate that to the young population.”

“He did a lot to get people to take it seriously yesterday. I mean, I’ve seen where we are right now, and where we go during the day or communities that might be more pro-trump, that might think this is a hoax.”

The next day CNN’s Dana Bash praised Trump for his remarks at Tuesday’s coronavirus presser.

“The fact that the president has been convinced to be different, whether it was Chris Christie’s op-ed asking him to do it, whether it was Newt Gingrich sitting in Italy watching firsthand what’s happening, or his friends at Fox news who have changed their tone — probably all of the above is what happened. But it is so important to hear him strike that tone of calm and of understanding of how incredibly dire this is.”

Now if only the liberal media would strike a tone of calm and of understanding rather than politicize the virus and fan the flames that have led people to hoard toilet paper, bottled water etc… creating a panic-like situation in many areas that only increases the likelihood of the virus spreading.
