Disgruntled college football fans sacked ESPN on Monday after the outlet experienced issues streaming the National Championship game in New Orleans between Clemson and LSU.
“ESPN app is terrible,” tweeted Trey Ferguson. “Biggest game of the year and the whole streaming service is down.”
According to the website Awful Announcing, the ESPN app was causing problems for customers of Charter Spectrum and Verizon Fios. Several on social media were still complaining that their stream was not working as late as the second quarter.
Users must log onto the app using their cable credentials in order to watch the game.
“Streaming failure on the biggest night in college football,” tweeted Sam Haymon. “Not a good look @espn.”
